  • Cervical Spondylosis and Neck Pain

 

It is again one of the common problems. Frequently done procedures for these problems are Facet Joint procedure (Median branch block), Radiofrequency neurotomy for Facet joint, Transforaminal Intervention (Root Block), Epidural Adhesiolysis, Discogram, Implantable pump or Spinal cord stimulator

  • Headache

It is the commonest possible symptom that brings a patient to doctor. Again this problem has become more prevalent in modern age. Medicines usually take care most of the times. Patients resistant to drug treatment, side effects to drugs or are reluctant for drugs can be offered certain procedures depending on the type of headache. Commonly done procedures are Sphenopalatine block or RFA, Trigger point procedure, Trigeminal Neuralgia Radiofrequency Ablation, Greater occipital nerve block and Neck Facet Joint procedure, Radiofrequency Neurotomy for Neck Facet joint

  • Hand and leg pain, RSD (New name is CRPS).

Patients following trivial trauma or injury can have RSD with limb swelling, pain and discoloration. Also patients with vascular (Blood vessel) pain can benefit from the procedures like Sympathetic block, Stellate block, Implantable pump or Spinal cord stimulator.

  • Cancer pain

It probably the most disturbing pain problem presently we are facing. Pain due to cancer is might be in early or terminal stages of the disease. Most of the cases once pain of the patient goes down morale of the patient are improved with increase in appetite. Commonly offered blocks for these patients are Celiac plexus block, Splanchnic Radiofrequency ablation, Hypogastric plexus Neurolysis and Implantable pump.

 

  • Neuralgia and Neuropathy
    e.g. Trigeminal, Diabetic, HIV/medicines, Post herpes

These are complex pain problems due to damage to the nerve itself not like above problems which are mostly due to body tissue damage other than nerves. Commonly done procedures for Neuralgias or Neuropathies are Nerve block or Neurolysis, Radiofrequency ablation, Sympathetic block or Stellate block and Spinal cord stimulator or Implantable pump.

  • Persistent post operative pain problem

Some patients like after surgery of back or neck, chest, hernia or certain abdominal operation can have persistent pain inspite of correcting the actual problem of that area. It is usually due to entrapped nerve in the area of operation. Commonly done procedures for these problems are Nerve block or Neurolysis, Radiofrequency ablation, Sympathetic block or Stellate block, Spinal cord stimulator and implantable pump.

  • Any Pain persisting for more than 3 months
